After listening to the headphones I decided to go with Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro

These are bundled with a FiiO E11 and the headphones are 250 Ohm, not the 600 version.
I've seen the e9k + e17setup for DT 990s (not sure what ohm) and I'm wondering if I do need that. I LOVE listening to music but I'm no sound engineer.

Now I had a Turtle Beach PX 22 which had a very small amp on the wire and those could get louder than I wanted them to. My question is can the E11 handle the 250 Ohm DT990s for general music and gaming at a loud volume with great sound quality or do I really need the e9k + e17?

Thanks guys :) the advice is always helpful

I have worked with the FiiO E11 and the HifiMAN HE-500 and the the DT-880 250 ohms, and I can vouch that you will get enough loudness and proper sounding for both. Considering that is a pretty good price for a bundle, I would recommend you try them first, and then decide if they require an amp, though I'm personally sure you should have no issue with that.
