So, I've looked around for a solution for my problem, but can't seem to find one. When I plug my speakers into the rear 3.5mm jack of my soundcard (Creative sound blaster z), I get a static-y noise, but when plugged into my front headphone jack, I don't. Also, I can't hear the static sounds through headphones plugged into the rear 3.5mm jack. Just to test the speakers further, I plugged them into my MacBook and they worked perfectly then as well. I've updated all of the sound drivers etc. but I can't seem to make them work when plugged into the back of the sound card. Any help? Thanks.

I actually found I haven't fixed the problem, I've only made it better. I still get the same crackling noise when I turn up the volume in windows. I if keep the volume in windows to about 30, I can use the actual volume buttons on the speakers and turn it up to max without the crackling noise. But, if the volume in windows is around 65+, I get the crackling noise all the time. Any ideas on why this would be?
