Hi,
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on parts for a $650 gaming PC. I would appreciate it if you used http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/ to pick the parts, as the prices are in Canadian Dollars. Mainly I will be playing Batman Arkham and Assassin's Creed games.
Thanks. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Well the 750K is an A10 5700 without the iGPU so it's technically not an APU. As to why I chose it, it was because I couldn't fit a 6300 without going into the $700 range and sacrificing the GPU. Now if the OP is willing to increase his budget, the 6300 is a no brainer, instead I chose to slightly decrease the CPU power and get a better GPU. Since the 750K is recommended by Tom's in their monthly gaming CPU charts it should offer good entry level performance.

As for the mobo... Well that was a pure budget choice, that's all.

Not trying to puff chest but mine's better, both in processor and gpu, for less money.

Not entirely true my friend, even though the cpu and gpu are better, you have not included an optical drive or an OS for the OP, which bumps up the price of your build roughly about $130 which puts it at about $800 CAD, way above the OP's budget.

Sorry but unless he's willing to increase his budget, your build is out of his range.

touche, most people have resources to get OS and other peripherals, which an optical drive is anymore.

Agreed, if the OP has those two things then I would go with what you built, except I'd change the power supply to the xfx I recommended, it's a much higher quality unit at the same price.
