Hi everyone,

First I'll say, yes, I have tried almost all previous recommendations posted here and went through the sticky on the subject to no avail.

I have tried:
- reseating all components like the CPU, GPU, mobo itself
- memory stick testing on different slots
- ensuring nothing was shorting the mobo and that all plugs were where they are supposed to go
- checking the PSU which worked with my previous F2A85-M Pro mobo and AMD A10 5800K CPU setup.

I'm at a total loss now and would like some help. Here's my current setup:

- i5 4670K 3.4 GHz
- MSI R9 270 Gaming GPU 2GB
- MSI H87 G43 Gaming mobo
- 2x 4GB Mushkin 996995 and 2x 4GB 992002
- Thermaltake TR2 RX 750W PSU
- WD 7500AAK 750GB Hard drive

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I am using my original HD that had Windows 7 64-bit on it.

However, my screen doesn't come up, period. No bios page, nothing. Just blank. Would my HD be responsible for that?

I just disconnected the HD and still, nothing's posting.

I noticed my RAM sticks weren't mentioned in the mobo's support page either. I assume it wouldn't be that big of a deal, but is it?

Unfortunately, with memory, there's no easy answer. Many memory modules not tested will work fine, but others will not.
It is also possible that the mobo itself is bad.
Does the mobo actually have a mobo speaker?

I don't think my mobo has a speaker. I couldn't physically see one and I searched around to find whether or not it did. I couldn't find any source indicating that I had one.

I also tried booting without the RAM and nothing beeped. Either I don't have a speaker or my mobo is shot.

Ok so as it turns out there was a pin pinching another one in the DVI plug. The motherboard appears fine and is reading all components.

However, I'm not 100% finished. My MSI R9 270 GPU isn't being noticed in the first PCIe slot, but the second one.

Also really puzzling is that my Sapphire R9 270X can be read in both the first and second PCIe slots...

I'm currently installing all the drivers that came with the motherboard's CD. I will try refitting the MSI GPU in the first slot again to see if it can be read.

If not, I will flash a bios update and try again. I'll keep the community posted for future reference.

I flashed a new and latest version for my bios. My "MSI R9 270 Gaming"still isn't being read in the first PCIe slot whereas my Sapphire R9 270X is. This isn't making any sense. Looks like I'll have to open a new discussion about this and see what comes up. Thanks for your help anyways!
