AMD A8-3870k. On EVGA website, says that this video card needs 1 PCI-E 3.0 x16. Works on PCI-E 2.0?

I'm also thinking on buy an AMD R9 270 videocard, but this one needs more power supply and this card are really big, i dont have too much space on my case.
