Anyone willing to help clarify some Gigabyte Motherboard confusion?

I am trying to locate a decent graphic card(s) for my Gigabyte GA-880GA-UD3H

My objective is to run quad monitor display. 3 hp DVI-D outputs, 1 hp VGA

I currently can run 1 DVI-D, and 1 VGA on-board

Today Gigabyte is telling me the only compatible graphic card for my motherboard is Radeon™ HD 4550 GPU GV-R455D3-512I

Two days ago Gigabyte told me if I wanted to run quad monitors (for my specific motherboard) was to get a graphic card that has 4 display output. He recommended (GIGABYTE Gaming VGA Series Radeon™ R9 290 GPUGV-R929WF3-4GD) and said this would disable my on-board graphics. Today they are telling me that adding a graphic card (again to my specific mb) will not disable the on-board graphics and I would be able to run quad display if I could locate the Radeon™ 4550 which supports 2 displays. I am near eradicating my own hair right off the top of my head!!!

Here are my boards specs: http://www.gigabyte.us/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3...

My pc specs: AMD Phenon(tm) IIx6 1055t Processor 2.80gh

Can someone please help me figure this out? Much appreciated!

I looked up your mobo with the link you provided & then checked on other websites & it does have 1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x16 (Gen 2), as far as compatibility is concerned, you CAN run a GPU with 4 monitors, it's up to your budget for us to suggest/recommend a GPU & also bear in mind that because it's a Gen 2 slot you have a decreased amount of bandwidth.
