Okay, so I recently got a new SSD to install Windows on. Before, I had one HDD with two partitions, one for Windows (40GB) and one for other stuff (425GB)
Now that I have the SSD, I tried to delete the 40GB partition and then I tried to Extend Volume for the 425GB partition to get all that 40GB. Doing this, however, turned the Disk into a Dynamic Disk instead of a Basic one.
Anyway, I'm not sure if this really matters. Everything seems to work alright, but is there any hindrance to having this as a Dynamic disk when I will supposedly just use it as if it were a Basic one? Is there any way to simply turn it into a Basic disk without erasing everything on the drive?
Thanks.
