Hello, I was wondering if I should get sli gtx 660s and get a system that is between a 770 and a 780 or should I just upgrade to a 770 for 60 bucks less. If any of you have done this, what do you recommend me doing, is it worth the extra money or not ? Also is it possible to bind a gtx 660 and a 660 superclocked because I have gtx 660sc that isn't on the market any more and has two fans and dual heat sinks but the only ones out there are single fan cards and that wont fit into the config so thats why i'm asking if you can do that.

tough call, SLI has some game compatibility issues and micro-stutter and all, but as a whole it isn't that bad. I used to have a 7990 6GB and the range of games was quite a lot and it was much better then running a 7970, the difference is huge.

I would say getting 2 GTX 660's over a 770, as the performance is far greater, but I tend to prefer a more powerful single GPU, like what I did, replace my 7990 with a R9 290X custom cooled.

It is fine to combine two different GTX 660's without any problems, as long as they are the same card chip model (GTX 660) it'll work (which your situation listed will work), so overall I think it's more worthwhile getting dual GTX 660's over a GTX 770.

I'm in the same boat right now. Leaning toward getting a 770 as with it you get GPU boost and shadow play, plus you can SLI the 770 in a year or two and be laughing. SLI 660's are a dead end.
