Just started a few days ago, I have a intel motherboard PC, 2gb of RAM, 200mb of NVidia Video Card, 80gb of HDD dual core processor. most likely not really bad computer. It was just drop accidentally and when turning it on again it will just shutoff after a few seconds. I have 3 of the same specs, tried reseating everything. Until such time I re-seat the processor into the other PC, now I have 2 PC with the same issue. Please help me. I dont want to spend that might not solve the problem. Any help out there will highly appreciated.

You mentioned you dropped it...you dropped a desktop?:no:
I'm guessing it most likely boots from the Hard Disk. Just to confirm go in your BIOS and check the boot priority.
It HDD has highest priority then change the first boot to CD drive and try booting from a CD.
And vice versa if the first priority is from the CD drive.
Or since you dropped it your 'power-on' button may have got damaged and it shuts as soon at it starts.

Please check your hardware connections. Make sure everything is in place.

right after I press the power buttton, the longest period it had was it will show the post screen where you can press F2 for BIOS settings. After that Screen it shutdown. Or Sometimes unable to reach the screen.

Thank you for the quick response. Yeah, I drop the desktop accidentally, And i turn it on again it will just light on and all fans working after a few seconds it shutdown. I'm thinking that It might be the mobo that was affected. So what I did was: Take note that my other computer is working perfectly fine.
1. Replacing the mobo of the 2nd computer to the dropped one. No goo.
2. Replacing the power supply. No good.
3. take out all the RAM, HDD on the Dropped one, and have it replaced with the 2nd PC. No go.
4. Lastly, which makes the scene worst. Swap the Processor and I make it sure that it was properly inserted pretty nice and tight. Still it shuts off. Take note: when I put the processor of the 1st PC to the 2nd PC The 2nd PC has no the same problem as with the 2nd.

Weird thing though is that when I unplug the power cord for the CPU it will not shutoff but no display.

I'm still looking forward for your response :) Thank you.

By the way, going to BIOS is not possible it will just shut-off randomly and rarely prompt to select BIOS options. And with regards to the "power-button" take note that my 2nd PC was not dropped but it has the same issue with the 1st one which started when I swap the processor.

I have something simulair and its driving me crazy!
I,m no newbie, but this thing is troubling;
In the beginning when i just build my pc, it would sometimes shutdown after a few seconds, and then turn on again.
After reseating everything, the problem dissapeared. but now, i dropped it from a small hight, it still worked for a day or two, and then all off a sudden my monitor was not getting any input signal. i have an extra pc and i know how to troubleshoot.
Something seem to work, for a moment, one time i even got in the bios, but when i wanted to save the settings, it shut down.
Now, everytime it boots i get this message; cmos time and date not set, select f2 for bios or f1 for continue.
It doesnt matter wich i choose, it always shuts down after the selection!!!!!!

So i cant even get in the bios anymore! Please anybody! Help!
