First Gaming Build Advice

Hi all! I am going to be building my first gaming PC and I need some advice on these two motherboards I have been looking at.

At first I was going to by this; http://www.ebuyer.com/507041-gigabyte-ga-z87x-ud5h-socket-1150-hdmi-dvi-i-displayport-atx-motherboard-ga-z87x-ud5h

But then I started looking at this; http://www.ebuyer.com/544100-asus-maximus-vi-formula-z87-socket-1150-hdmi-atx-motherboard-maximus-vi-formula

I was wondering if it would be worth paying the extra cash for the Asus motherboard? Will there be much of a difference?

It really depends on what you are doing. Are you going to overclock? Have an SLI/CrossFire configuration? Are you going to have liquid cooling?

If you have the extra cash to spare, that specific asus motherboard is pretty amazing. However, if you dont plan on doing any OC'ing or water cooling then basically any motherboard will do that fits your specific cpu. It all depends on what you intend to do.

Thanks for the quick reply PCJoe! I think I will do some overclocking in the future and also upgrade to liquid cooling aswell.

You could go with the Asus Z87-Pro same board I have and it supports anything you really need it to do gaming wise. I think it's also more cheap then the mobo you mentioned above.

If you are going to overclock I would recommend a motherboard in Gigabyte's Ultra Durable Series like the G1 Sniper 5.
But the choice is yours!
