Gigabyte vs. ASUS

When it comes to enthusiast motherboards, Asus is the cream of the crop. Gigabyte is great, and may offer more bells and whistles but from my experience Asus enthusiast boards offer the greatest quality.

Please I urge u don't make the mistake of choosing asus or u will regret it, any other company will do but them! I have recently bought a maximus VI formula that failed on me after only 2 months !
I have send it back to asus in original box with all the cables and fittings ,but after weeks of waiting I got a respond that the board was physicaly damaged by me and the warranty is void, now it gets really interesting - they first agreed to fix it for mere 300F (more than a new board!!) after me declining that asus send me back a board in a plain cardboard box with none of usual extras u get it with, claiming that its a new board and they will charge me only 150F this time but on close inspection I noticed the board wasn't new at all(big surprise) u could see screw markings!
So I declined that ofc and send it back, after countless emails I noticed a pattern in messages I was getting, ofc they were prewritten and all said they were sorry but I scratched the board slightly in a corner (thy send me picture but nothing to do with the mobo failure and not even a component in sight) and it means im responsible for the damage.
I think they got upset with me bugging them to help me out coz my board came back still broken and asus wont even tell me what is the fault and don't want to fix it anymore even if I pay them.
Now the funny part as u can see in Figure 11~14 http://support.asus.com/repair.aspx?no=568&SLanguage=en -Only a bit broken in the edge of PCB, but no Trace broken. And didn't impact on the circuit's electrical performance makes it acceptable for repair but my surface scratch in same spot makes it somehow not under warranty and no repair for me!

I've used both Gigabyte and ASUS boards over the years for a bunch of different builds.

Personally I've enjoyed the Gigabyte boards more, though I had no specific complaints about the ASUS boards.
