I recently just upgraded my Windows 7 32 bit to a 64 bit version and installed a 8GB RAM card as i said in my title. Yesterday my PC restarted, and i did not know the cause. Today it happened again and I was checking on why it auto restarts just suddenly when i am using it. According to windows forum, it is the cause of a System Failure and they asked me to uncheck the "Automatic Restart" tab. And I did, and now my WIndows is showing 6GB RAM (3.25 Usable). What does this mean? Is the hardware damaged? Or is it a software issue?

Lol, bro, thanks for your reply, but did you read what I said? I did a clean install from 32 to 64 bit. And also after I installed my 8GB RAM it worked fine for pretty long, say around a month? And then suddenly that happened. But then I switched the slots and now it works fine, I am guessing that my motherboard RAM card slot for it is fried, no idea how, but yea. And also, one more question, will turning off and on my pc everyday cause the hardware to lose its life faster? o.o haha and my mobo is FX-4100, HD6770, 8GB RAM, Gigabyte GA-970A-D3, 1TB Seagate, 2TB WD, 120GB SSD Kingston. :O

I started this thread on 18th April 2014. And now, 5thJuly 2014, the same thing happened. I am guessing either one of my RAM cards is faulty or my mobo. Other than that I think itcould be my PSU too. it supports 460W only. I guess its too low? And btw, my mobo is a Gigabyte GA-970A-D3. With updated Bios to version F11.
