Is there an i7 core CPU, which fits into a LGA 115X Socket?

So I've purchased an MSi Z87-G45 Gaming Motherboard, and I also bought a i7-3770K, but it seems it does not fit, so I will be sending back the Processor.

My question as it states in the title: "Is there an i7 core CPU, which fits into a LGA 115X Socket?"

Sorry to be rude but you should know this. What socket did you buy.
The bit where you see '115X' stamped into the metal is not the socket. It is only the CPU retainer (locking mechanism). The socket is unseen beneath the CPU (the flat bit encrusted with the old thermal compound).
Also the z87 socket is only for the 1150 cpus if not mistaken.

You will require a Core I7 4770K processor. or also a Core i5 4670K will fit.

So you're stating that the 1150 is the 115X?

Thank you, This has been really helpful, I've now noticed it, ofcourse still have the wrong one because its a 3rd generation, So I think I'll go with the i7-4770K
