GTX 780ti, AMD R290x, or Dual GTX 670's?

So a while back I asked about how exactly SLi worked, and how much of a benefit it had. I'm still not 100% sure, I didn't feel like all my questions were answered, but most of them were.

However today my question is, since I'll have the money for the 780ti soon, which would be the best deal, or best performance?

I've seen some benchmarks online, showing that sometimes the 780ti is more powerful, but then other benchmarks show that the 290X is more powerful. And I couldn't really find anything on SLI 670's.

I was told that as far as raw power goes, dual 670's would be much cheaper, since I already own a 670, and would be more powerful than the 780ti, but I also heard there are compatibility problems with quite a few games, meaning I would be forced to use a single GPU at times. How often does this happen?

My main goal is to be able to play almost all current games (and even some upcoming ones) at around a steady 60FPS at full 1080p resolutions and higher. My 670 does okay with this, but doesn't always stay near 60fps, and sometimes I do need to lower the resolution.

The 670 I have is only 2GB, however if I buy a 4GB version of the same card, SLI would still work, right? And I should use the 4GB 670 as the primary card?

I was looking around on you tube and I found a video where they compared a 780ti to I want to say 670's in SLI (unfortunately I can't get on you tube to verify because I am at work), and ran BF4. the 670s had a higher frame rate when not using shadowplay by +/- 10% depending on the map being played. but once shadowplay was turned on the 780ti ran +/-20% better.

Once you start talking about higher resolutions like 1440p and up, I would defiantly get the 780ti, then later on you could SLI a second one once the prices start going down. don't quote my but I think SLIing a second card only provides a %50 boost to your FPS and it is even less when you add a third. so I would go with the better card if you are planning on upping your resolution. You will be good for the next couple of years.
