7-The virtual memory is set to 4000mb initial size and 8000mb maximum size

please if someone can helpp

Solution
You're always going to get spikes. As the disk is accessed it's utilization is 100% for a moment. It's the long-term situation that matters. You are worrying about nothing; just enjoy using your computer.

Anti-virus reads just about everything on the disk. Yes, it will fully utilize the disk whilst the scan is running (assuming your processor is fast enough to process the information faster than it is being read). Again, that's normal behaviour. The same goes for some other processes (e.g. Defragmentation, disk checking, building a search index).

This isn't normal. We are experiencing the same thing on multiple machines. When this happens, it renders the machine almost unusable. We haven't found a fix despite finding many people complaining of the same problem across the web. Very disappointing that after 2 major updates, MS hasn't gotten this fixed (running Windows 8.1 Update 1.) Makes development very difficult to impossible. To be a little more detailed, the disk usage oscillates to 99% or 100% to lower values ranging from 0 to the mid 70's.

Super fetch and Windows Search do seem to be the culprits, but disabling Windows Search does just that... it disables Search from the Start Menu. With the new Windows 8 UI, the search feature has become pretty important. I don't know what Super Fetch does or what functionality it would disable if you stop the service but, for me, disabling Windows Search is equivalent to fixing the problem with a blow torch. I appreciate the recommendation, but I'm going to have to wait for another fix.

Have you come across any fixes for this yet? I haven't tried the one mentioned yet, as I don't really want to lose my ability to search, but as it stands I'm probably going to soon, today my desktop was just not having it just being frozen and super slow all the time.

I had done all of the above as well and have spent HOURS trying to resolve this. Today, I found a random forum where someone said that launching Skype fixes it. I was skeptical, but desperate, so I tried it. So far, that seems to have resolved it. Doesn't make sense, but give it a shot.

I've had this problem b/f. What I do is go into details under task manager and delete Issas.exe, which requires a re-boot. When the computer comes back on, the issas.exe is still there, but the disk usage has dropped from 100% to around 3% or so. Maybe, I jog something. I duuno. But, it works.

Just checked out this issue. l(with an small L)ssas.exe is a trojan. Not to be confused with I(with a capital i) ssas.exe.

I'm guessing your system drive is not an SSD?

So far, its my experience that windows 8+ hates platter drives (even hybrids). I have yet to experience prolonged 100% disk usage on a system with an SSD system drive.
