hi there, i recently acquired a beautiful, limited edition blue alienware area 51 7500 with:
Processor: Watercooled Intel Core 2 Duo e6400
Ram: 2 GB DDR2 Patriot Brand
Graphics: nvidia geforce 7950 gtx
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit (upgraded from Windows XP by me)

ive been fixing computers for a little over 8 years now and ive never worked on this model. I got her for free from an old guy who was having his house demolished and said his son didnt want it anymore. it runs faster than my gateway gx4870 that was built only last year. I want to use it for gaming and I need advice on what to upgrade with and if i should overclock it to possibly 3.4 Ghz or higher from its current 2.13 Ghz. Any help would be awesome

To be honest, I dont think any of it is worth upgrading. Unless you can get something like a q6600 for next to nothing and more DDR2 ram (which may cost a lot) it wouldn't be worth it. If you can get cheap ram and a core 2 quad..you could add a decent video card and it may be ok for a little bit. Good luck.
