hello dear forum members
I want to learn your ideas and commends about my system which is going to my new gaming computer. I've change so many things after I search through this forum and I learnt so much from you guys so thank you for that. so this is my ultimate build. my first gaming pc was an amd system and I hated it. I always thought that amd is faster from intel and actually it was faster on paper but then I learnt that intel is stable and amd has drops and rises on its speed so I wanted to make an intel system. anyway here's my new gaming pc

Any reason why you want the extension cables?
Swapped the gpu for a MSI R9 280
The thermal paste on the H100i is enough. Don't need to buy thermal paste.

For graphic cards, it depends on resolution, what graphic settings you aiming for, minimum fps, what games you play and location price.
A GTX 760 and R9 270X/7870 is good enough for 1080p high-ultra settings depends on the games.
A GTX 770 and R9 280X/7970 is pretty much maxing out 1080p on ultra.

I am gonna be playing mostly games like skyrim, diablo 3, titan quest, devil may cry, witcher 2, dota 2, and the games like that. I will use one 24inch 140hz monitor and my resolution will be 1920x1080 at very high setting but ultra setting would be better ofcourse.

The MSI R9 280 is good enough. You can overclock it to reach near the performance of a R9 280X. Of course, if you can afford a R9 280X /GTX 770 it will be fine either way.

No1: 550 watts is not enough for that gaming rig.
No2: Having a 144hz monitor means that you will be able to see a noticeable difference between 60 fps and 144 fps, in short, getting a 144 hz monitor means that you will want to play at max 144 fps and actually see a difference in smoothness but that won't happen with that build that you got. To play at 144 fps you'll need at least a single GTX 780 ti or a 780 or 770 in SLI at that resolution.
No3: Unless you will be overclocking very heavily, you have no need for a corsair h100i or a powerful motherboard.
May I suggest a build? I've kept the red / black theme alive.
Have a look: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3uuIz
Btw a GTX 780ti shreds all GPUs in a miles radius.

Sure go ahead!
I don't know enough information about overclocking but I am gonna use software to O.C and it will not be heavy OC

550 W is enough. The build should roughly use 350-400W overclocked.
This articles uses a similar setup.:http://www.overclock3d.net/reviews/cpu_mainboard/intel_...
If you want to play 144fps at max settings then yes you need more gpu power.
24, 36, 48, 72 and 144 are the sweet spots for a 144hz monitor. If you change the Hz refresh rate to 72, there should be less of an issues in tearing.

don't you think that 700$ for a gpu is overkill for such kind of games?
by the way the theme of rig is black\white sorry I wrote red\black it was my old system

The best minimum GPU you need to play everything on ultra would be a GTX 770 which is close to the power of something I between a R9 280X and a R9 290. This is for 1080p. However assassins creed 4 already lags on a GTX 770 on very high a couple more or so other games do too.

May I suggest a build?
Sure go ahead!
I don't know enough information about overclocking but I am gonna use software to O.C and it will not be heavy OC
don't you think that 700$ for a gpu is overkill for such kind of games?
by the way the theme of rig is black\white sorry I wrote red\black it was my old system
The best minimum GPU you need to play everything on ultra would be a GTX 770 which is close to the power of something I between a R9 280X and a R9 290. This is for 1080p. However assassins creed 4 already lags on a GTX 770 on very high a couple more or so other games do too.
so I've made a huge change in my list and the price is increased but it is OK cuz the most important part is GPU on a gaming PC. 780ti is way too much expensive so I chose gtx780

No1: 550 watts is not enough for that gaming rig.No2: Having a 144hz monitor means that you will be able to see a noticeable difference between 60 fps and 144 fps, in short, getting a 144 hz monitor means that you will want to play at max 144 fps and actually see a difference in smoothness but that won't happen with that build that you got. To play at 144 fps you'll need at least a single GTX 780 ti or a 780 or 770 in SLI at that resolution.
No3: Unless you will be overclocking very heavily, you have no need for a corsair h100i or a powerful motherboard.

The Cooler master V 750 is slightly better than the EVGA you chose :

Best solution
Get the Antec, HCG-750. It is a re-branded GOLD rated Delta OEM'd 875w unit. It is BY FAR the best PSU in its price bracket.
Easily worlds better than that EVGA and Coolermaster.
Also, When you say a few games lag on a 770, that is not that the card is not powerful enough, it is that those games are poorly coded. A good example is Warframe. It looks beautiful and EASILY can be maxed on a gtx660. It looks just as good (particles, textures, everything) as Crysis 3 or Metro Last Light but is over twice as easy to run. It is poor coding that makes these games suck, not weak hardware.
