burning smell from my new pc

i just finished assembling my new computer when i turned it on I smelt burning smell and the fan spins then stops so i quickly shut it off so i want to know how to fix my problem?

first of all unplug from wall and don't leave unattended and may help providing pc spec.

may help identified what was burning exactly by removing all parts from the case.

    cant see model of psu

my pc specs:
cpu: intel i5 4440
Motherboard: asrock h81-hds
ram: team elite 4gb

Burning smell usually comes from the PSU. It can also be some badly applied thermal paste. Full specs would help.

i removed all parts from the case and i was thinking the psu was the problem but the psu working fine with my old pc

if you smell all parts separately you will figurout which part have burning smell.not recommending use that psu anyway.

is new cpu like i5 need more powerful psu b/c my psu was working fine with intel celeron d and i think the burning smell from the motherboard

my psu is no name brand psu 650w and very cheap and i was having 5 computers and 5 no name brand psu and all of them was working fine
