I know that the Quickfire TK is mechanical and the apex is a chiclet or membrane keyboard. In my situation, I am using a snowball right next to my cooler master devastator keyboard. It is pretty loud when ever I record the sound from my snowball even though it is a membrane keyboard.

Which is better for sound so my friends on skype won't have to hear the keys too loudly? What feels better and is more promising for the future? What is more solidly built? And if I get the apex, will it be able to work with the SteelSeries Rival? Both of these keyboards are the same price so which one would be better for my situation?

Solution
The TK will definitely be louder since it is a mechanical keyboard. Mechanical keyboards are always louder than regular membrane keyboards. The chiclet keys of the Apex should be quieter.
The TK feels a lot better (to most people, at least), is more solidly built, and will last longer.

A ten dollar difference really is not worth it then is it? Also, I have yet to use a mechanical keyboard and I like membrane keys so far. I don't really enjoy the clicks if you are trying to talk or make a video and that is all you hear, especially because the microphone is like 2 inches away from the membrane key board that I am using right now. Also, does the Apex work with a steelseries Rival mouse? Does anyone know?

Yes any keyboard will work with any mouse.
To most people, the $10 difference would definitely be worth it because mechanical keyboards feel SO much better to most people and they last longer. However, if you really need something quiet and you're willing to sacrifice a lot for it to be quiet, then you might want to stick with chiclet keys.

You are not answering my question. I know that the mouse works with any keyboard and any mouse can work with the Apex. I am wondering if the drivers allow the two pieces of hardware to work together.

I went for the Coolermaster Quickfire TK Brown switches for a mechanical keyboard and I have not regretted my choice. I have tried the apex and honestly it doesn't feel very good to type on or game. Plus the lighting is only okay, it isn't amazing. I'd say go with a mechanical keyboard instead of the Apex but it's your preference.
