R9 270x safe temps

I just installed my brand new MSI R9 270x gpu and i was wondering what a good temp would be for it because when i play Borderlands 2 completely maxed out at 1920x1080 and the temps maxed out around 66c is that an acceptable temp?

That's a fine temp. GPUs generally will run hotter than CPUs. Most will go into the upper 90C range before they throttle or shut down.
