I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but I just finished my build. Installed win 7, and connected my Ethernet cable so I could get online and get my updates and what not. However, when plugged straight into my modem (the one Comcast gave me) it would not detect a connection or networks at all. I tried plugging through my wireless router (old pc was hardwired to wireless router, so thought it'd work) but that asked for the drivers, so I put in the installation disc and now it won't install it because my pc doesn't have a wireless adapter. What do I have to do to get this thing to work correctly? This is my first build so this is all very frustrating and confusing to me.

2XLR8 is right, you may be missing the LAN drivers for your motherboard. If you go to device manager and see anything with an exclamation point beside it then it is probably missing a driver. Use the CD that came with the motherboard to install the missing drivers as 2XLR8 suggested.

Let's see if I can help. You said that you just finished the build (I will assume that you have a new mother board) check the mother board drive cd for your LAN drivers. You may just be missing them
