I'm looking to make a fairly cheap desktop for gaming using an FX 6300 and one of the gpus listed in the title. I'm aware that normally the 265 is a better choice over the 750ti for the price, but I'm also looking to do some streaming (720p or below). Since Shadowplay can be used to encode video for streaming now, I'm wondering which card will end up giving higher frame rates while streaming. If there isn't going to be much of a difference, would the extra $20 or so be worth the upgrade from a 265 to a 270?

$500-$600. So I guess the question now is whether a 750 Ti using Shadowplay or a 270 using standard h264 encoding is better. I've heard that the 6300 is fine for streaming most games using standard encoding, but I haven't seen anything concrete.

That's very similar to the build I had made myself. So you believe that the FX 6300 with a 270 will get better framerates while streaming than a 750 Ti using Shadowplay?

Hmm,I would recommend going with the 270 as it offers a better performance then the gtx 750 ti. But if shadow play is important for you i would recommend going with the gtx 750 ti super clocked, http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-Superclock-Dual-Link-Graphics-02G-P4-3753-KR/dp/B00IDG3IDO/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1397857262&sr=8-2&keywords=gtx+750+ti+ftw.

Well, I'm not sure whether it's important or not. I have no idea how much streaming on an FX 6300 affects performance (I've heard that it's fine for 720p streaming, but I haven't seen any actual numbers), so I'm asking whether picking up a 750 Ti and using Shadowplay for encoding will result in better framerates than picking up a 270 and using normal CPU h264 encoding.
