My computer was running perfectly fine (built in February 2014) and ever since I turned my computer off at the PSU switch it hasn't turned on again (no fans, lights, or noise from the pc).

I needed to turn the computer off at the PSU because it went into deadlock, and I tried holding the power button for 5 second but it didn't turn off at all.
I originally thought the problem was the PSU, but after testing a new PSU, with my system it still has the same outcome as before.

Is the problem to do with my motherboard?
Is it possible that the other components in my system could be harmed?

Original System (before the problem):

New PSU:

I have tried reconnecting all the parts except the CPU and still nothing, not sure what to do now..

The motherboard is mounted on all standoffs in the case, leaving no standoff touching the motherboard on the back.

I have now tried both sticks of RAM separately and still nothing....

I have also reset the CMOS and still nothing

I've never hard of something like that before. Did you check the outlet and/or power bar? That could be the problem. Also check the PSU cable.

After this, you're going to want to try booting up the PC with just the CPU, a memory stick and the motherboard (CPU cooler and power supply obviously also need to be in place). Let me know what happens.

sorry for the late response, but i have tried the Power supply cable on another computer and the outlet and these are working fine.

I will try booting with what you suggested though, thanks

hopefully it will work.

I think it's probably something to do with the motherboard then. Contact the manufacturer and explain the situation.

If you have an extra CPU (or know someone who has one) you can try swapping the CPU.

I have swapped out the motherboard and still I have no power..

is it likely to be the CPU then?

I found out the problem was my power button :|

Somewhere between the power button in the front and the motherboard pins for the pw switch (power button pins) was not working. To turn it on now I am shorting these two pins with a flat head screwdriver, which is exactly what the power button does anyway.
