Currently I have an Asus MX279 (Retail - $299.99 USD)

I'm looking into selling it to someone who uses their computer for more office stuff an not gaming as it would be perfect for that. Probably going to price it around $250.00 as I just bought it 3 weeks ago an the original price was $350 but it was on sale. (No not trying to sale it here) Just giving you a perspective on my budget.

So if I can get around $250 for it I'd have another $200 to throw on top of that. So total of $400-$500 budget for a nice monitor.

Here is what I hope to get it....

1ms GTG
<30" >24"
3D capable
144hz
1920x1080 max resolution (I only have a EVGA GTX 750ti Sc right now)
*Doesn't have to wall mount will be used on desk
* Has at least 1 HDMI input as I'll be using it for just my tower an nothing else
*Would be happy if it were an Asus brand but doesn't matter that much

- This is going to hopefully be better than the monitor I have now by a large margin an be usable for a couple years at least. (yes I know my video cards states its G-sync ready)

I guess that's enough information. Hope someone can give me some good advice.

Avocade, you'll be surprised what people spend their money on.

I'm spending quite some time on eBay and I'm just mind blown by stuff like: the exact same model of a certain item on eBay for £300 while you can buy a brand new one from the store/online retailer for £220. And apparently people keep buying hahaha

On topic the OP said his monitor is only 3 weeks old. I think it isn't a bad price knocking off $50 dollars for practically a "brand new" monitor.

Its shitty but regardless of 3weeks and 3 years if your selling locally or over the web you won't get buys and those links you see on eBay of over priced are scams they use bid bots linked to the same bank account they buy their own stuff to puff up the market on that item.

Regardless my point is why buy an expensive monitor that you inexpensive lower tier entry level GPU that can't really make it worth it. I'd suggest you pit that 250 towards maybe a 760 or something

I think $250 is a good price considering I don't smoke around it, I keep it clean, I have the receipt, and all of the original packaging. Also, when I open stuff I open it very neatly an keep everything down to the bread ties an I store the box in a safe place.

Also, I know the GPU is lacking when it comes to the monitor I want. Though the way I see it is I'm fine with my tower for right now. I'm looking into getting a better monitor because you can usually keep your monitor around longer than you can your computer tower. Since I'm wanting to start buying parts when I can for a from the ground up build instead of like the prebuilt computer that I have from bestbuy switching the monitor an putting the money towards an exceptional monitor for future use is a good idea.

If I went out an spent the money on a nice GPU my PSU doesn't have a 6-pinn power connector so really the GTX 750 ti superclocked is the best I can do without buying a better PSU.

Ummm I was reading the reviews on that monitor in my last post on this thread an someone said that you have to use Display port to go above 60hz refresh rate. Is that true?

I find it funny how misleading bestbuy is now that I've realized I've been fooled by them more than once.....

They listed my monitor that I have now as a gaming series. Look at the specs an tell me how non-gaming it is lmao

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/27-ips-led-hd-monitor/8767178.p?id=1218890757451&skuId=8767178&st=pcmcat304600050011_categoryid$abcat0509000&cp=1&lp=1

....and to add insult to injury when I first got it the damn thing was on sale from $350 down to $299 an now it's actually just $299 wow.... never going to bestbuy again for anything computer related lol
