Computer lost power

Last response: in Systems

I built a new computer recently. It booted up and worked just fine on first try. This morning I left it running to download a game while I went to work. I came home and it was dead. Wouldn't power up. Outlet has power. Computer was plugged in.

I thought it was the PSU. Switched out for a working PSU. Powered it up and fans won't even spin. Tested both PSUs. Both work in another system.

Tried unhooking everything. CPU, one stick of ram, and atx are only things plugged in. Still no power.

Any thoughts? Dead motherboard? Dead CPU? Short in case?

Sounds like your motherboard just bit the dust

Sigh... Guess I'll start the RMA process.
