I recently got a laptop from Spain with Windows 8.1 x64 Pro and Spanish as the default language. I downloaded the English (India) language pack, installed it, deleted the Spanish pack and applied the settings for the welcome screen and other areas. For about 99% of the times, it works, however, in some places such as the "Change Adapter Settings", the descriptions of my devices like Bluetooth and and WiFi are still in Spanish e.g. the Bluetooth description is given as "Dispositivo Bluetooth (Red de area personal)", and the WiFi as "Adapator de red..." etc. Also, rarely, I encounter a dialogue box in Spanish. How do i get rid of these?? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated :)

Only thing I can think of would be to create a Recovery Drive which copies your Recovery Partition and gives you a choice of Languages during the Recovery Process. Type 'Create' at your Start Screen to find the Recovery Drive Creation Process, you'll need an 8Gb USB Flash,(You could check the size of your Recovery Partition in Disk Management) and remember to check the Recovery Partition box. (A handy tool to have should you ever have a HDD failure in the future)
You could then boot from the Recovery Drive and then you would have a choice of a full Reset or Refresh depending on how much you have to lose regarding software you've installed, probably the full reset would achieve what you wish.
There is a risk that the Recovery Partition is in Spanish, but I'd be disappointed to find that after choosing English for Setup!

Thank u dodger46, unfortunately the Recovery Partition that got created is in Spanish. The only language option I'm getting is Spanish. Does this mean there's no way to correct this minor problem? Is the language buried deep under the Windows system and cannot be removed?

From your experience it would appear that way. I'm not sure that using a different Installation disk would help, as the version of Windows installed is known as 'White Box OEM' and as such is only available to the Computer Manufacturers. It has to be the version that would recognise the Product Key embedded in your BIOS. The only other option I can think of is to request an English Language set of Recovery disks from the Laptop Manufacturers, but expect to have to pay for the privilege! Perhaps if you explain your circumstance they will be more understanding...
