Nvidia Surround: 3X 24" Monitors, or 3X 27" Monitors?

From your experience guys, what do you think will feel better in terms of casual gaming and everyday multi-monitor use? Money is not the issue right now as I'm able to get either of the 2 relatively cheap, but if the 27" setup is too large say to focus on things, I'd be going for the 24".

Let me know what you think, especially if you had ever run surround or eyeinfinity.

Depends if you're running 1080p. Personally I like 1080p on 24" monitors as it looks a bit off to increase the size but pixels stay the same. Now if money is no object 27" 1440p monitors all the way.

Thanks for your input! That's just the kind of comparative answer I'm looking for. Yes, both sizes of monitors will be running 1080p. Leaning heavily towards the 24"now. Anyone have any other opinions?

I used to have 3 2560x1600 BenQs 32in and before that 27s. But one day moving my desk, I had to do a quick diagnostics. Closest HDMI receiver -> Pioneer 151 FHD Plasma 60" inch. Soon I found myself stuck browing pictures and movies and clips and games playing/looking FAR better (and I had 2 GTX 690s in Quad so when I say far I mean big time improvement.).

Found out this specific plasma has a metric shit-ton abilities, like Orbitor so it never burns from PC or the ability to take what looks like shit on my BenQs or even my MacBook for that matter and turn it into pure divinity as if this 27MB 1080p MP4 is really not from YouTube downloading software. It actually upsamples everything. Absolutely Everything to 4k then back down for crisp awesomeness.

I kept 1 BenQ sold the others and bought 2 more Plasmas. Crazy? Damn straight. Best display I've ever seen making 4k look like a joke from 5.5 feet back with 3D glasses on. Takes up a 12x12 area but damn I wish I could just grab everyone and pull them through the internet to see this display because I am an AV junkie always piling more up and nothing has came close to this. Best decision ever especially for CAD modded gloves. Of course though I have the BenQ on my desk above to pull down with 2 14"s for extra work.

Stop with the "Human eye can only see XXX FPS" business. There is no definitive answer to that question. We have all types of cones in our eyes that see different things at different rates. Test have shown people noticing up to 500 FPS in a stream of images in the right conditions. Though 120hz does seem to be enough for the most part. I find 80 FPS to be the point I feel good.

To the question. I believe I'd go with 24", not because I believe pixels are too big at 27" 1080p, but because 3x 27" is huge, and on a desktop, that would likely be too big to be comfortable gaming. You'd want 3x 27" monitors set further away than most desks could accommodate, or else you'll have to turn your head a lot to see what's on the screens.
