the PSU is : EVGA 500B 500W 80Plus Bronze

this is the spec of the system I am building :

Intel Core i5 4670k
MSI Z87-G43 Gaming
AMD Radeon R9-270X
8GB G-Skill Ram
500GB HDD

is this enough to power the rig ? cause I saw guys build PCs using a high end GPU but a low wattage PSU.

More about : psu good brand power rig smoothly

XFX or EVGA doesn't produce PSU they just put their label and sell that PSU under their brand.
XFX OEM manufacturer is Seasonic. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/power-supply-oem-ma...

If you can afford get this XFX , made by the best SEASONIC , buy it , the XFX linked in the post above isn't Haswell compatible but this one is.
