I have a Dell Inspiron 620 with the standard 300W power supply and an i5-2320. What's the best Graphics card I can power and run safely with that? I suspect original 7770 used to be OK but the 1GHz version (= R7 250X) seems to need a 6pin auxiliary connector. :-(

(I'm in the UK)

Sorry about the delay, my fault.

The best choice without upgrading power supply and stay under £100 is GTX 750 especially this model EVGA NVIDIA GTX 750 SC 1215MHz (Boost 1294MHz) 5012MHz 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 http://www.amazon.co.uk/EVGA-1215MHz-1294MHz-5012MHz-Graphics/dp/B00IGQ4ZDS/ref=sr_1_3?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1398462120&sr=1-3&keywords=nvidia+gtx+750

It doesn't require additional power connector and the best choice in your budget.

Anything else I can help you with?

What is the purpose of your upgrade?
I would use Amazon UK for video cards, what is your budget in pounds?
And just to be sure that I understood you correctly - you doesn't want to upgrade/change you power supply, am I correct?

Please answer above questions first.

I play some games , mostly RPGs. Older ones (Dragon Age 2, NWN2 etc) work ok on the processor's built-in graphics but I want some more headroom for more recent ones (Skyrim, Guild Wars 2) and future releases. The computer mainly gets used for home office stuff for which an i5 is, frankly, overpowered, so I'll be keeping it a good while yet. Current screen res is 1280 X1024 but the next screen will obviously be 1920 x 1080 which will be a bit more demanding. I don't have the reflexes or interest for FPS or driving games. Budget sub £100. I don't intend to change the power supply.
