Dear all,
I installed a Western Digital My Passport 1TB external hard drive on my PC and it happily backed up all my files over the months. My system files are on ( C: ) and my data (photos, videos, documents etc.) are on a separate internal drive ( K: ). The passport backed up the second drive.
I recently formatted by PC (wiped C: and started fresh), while leaving my data drive untouched. After re-installing my passport, the software can see that I still have all my files on my data drive ( K: ), but it seems to have kept the original 740GB of back-ups as "additional files" and has started fresh with the very small amount of new files on ( K: ), of about 20MB! This situation can be seen in the attached picture.

I would like my drive to treat the "additional files" as my normal back-up, since my internal hard drive hasn't actually changed. Should I erase the disk and start over?
Cheers,
Louis Vallance
