So after a long and mentally painful two days of getting my new motherboard and CPU to POST, a new albeit very peculiar problem popped up.
My "MSI R9 270 Gaming" GPU isn't being recognized in my "MSI H87 G43 Gaming" motherboard's first PCIe slot. However, it works in the second one.
So then I decided to test my "Sapphire R9 270X Dual-X" card out. It worked in the second PCIe slot like the MSI card, but it also works in the first!
So I decided to flash the latest bios incase it addressed the issue. Still, the MSI card wasn't read in the first slot.
What adds to the weirdness is that the Sapphire card requires more power than the MSI one so it can't be a PCIe slot power issue.
What gives? I'm thoroughly confused...
Any ideas?
