New build issues

When I power up my new build, all fans run and motherboard powers up. The video card fans don't spin and there is no output to the monitor. It is firmly in the slot. I checked it multiple times and the two six pins are connected. Thoughts? Corsair builders 600w psu, gigabyte Radeon r9 270, asus m5 a97 r2.0 motherboard

it can be a faulty mobo pci-e slot not giving the power to the video card. RMA the board if the build is new.

on the motherboard make sure the 4/8 pin pci power connector on the edge of the motherboard is plugged in.

Moved the card to the other pci slot and checked all power connections to the board. Still no luck.

No. My old PC had on board graphics. When I booted it the first time the fans twitched and they did the same when it powered down. Now they aren't moving at all.
