Hi guys it's me again~,
I have wanted to upgrade my mediocre computer with a new graphics card and power supply.
Information about my computer and graphics card here
I basically wanted to add my friend's Radeon HD7770 to my HP Compaq Elite 8000 SFF.

After confirming the viability and compatibility with you guys here (love you guys~ <3), I have began to assemble the previously mentioned parts only to find that my computer tower is too small for the graphics card, it won't fit! >_< Not wanting to take apart my entire computer just for a new case, I was wondering whether or not it is a good idea or even possible to use a PCI-E x16 extender cable like this one.

I imagined I would just let the gpu lie outside of the case connected with the power supply cord and extender cable. Obviously, if you guys have any better suggestions for cables or other solutions for my dilemna, I would love your help, knowledge, and insight! ^ω^

hmm... dust would be sure to plague the new GPU if its outside the case, also this would mean that the side of the case would have to be off all the time? Noise and dust are the drawbacks with your solution I think.
