Sometimes my screen goes black and after a few seconds it will reboot.

Hello everybody,

Recently I have had a problem with my computer. Randomly the computer screen goes black and says "no signal", but I can still hear the music. After a few seconds the computer will reboot itself and work just fine. It happends about 1-2 times a day and is verry anoying.

I am not sure where to put this thread so i just put it under CPUs

check your gpu for the no signal issue .

Does that happen while you're using the keyboard and mouse or only when it's playing music or a movie? What's the error code according to the Event Viewer? You should provide detailed system specs, including the OS.

It happends while using keyboard and mouse. I did not knew there was such thing as an event viewer. I will put it in next time it happends

I found this under "critical" Event 41 called kennel-power
"The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly."

Since it occurs while you're using the keyboard, sleep mode isn't the issue. It could be overheating or a poor quality PSU, but you haven't provided any info about your system or temperature of the CPU, GPU or motherboard.

you will have to provide the details ask in the upper answer ,you could have a psu issue try to use another one in the system to test .

It has been under a year since i build this computer. The temperatures are between 30 and 40, and the PSU is from Corsair called gs600 (this once http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139023). The GPU is MSI GTX760 and Motherboard is Asus H87-pro

What processor is installed? Does the system work fine if you remove the GPU and connect the monitor to the motherboard (presiming your CPU has an integrated GPU)? Did you test the GPU with MSI Afterburner?

My processor is an Intel i5-4670, and i downloaded the MSI Afterburner app, but kinda scared that i mess something up if i use it. I will try to remove the GPU and connect the monitor to the motherboard.
