I think it's my fault, I went to one of these sites where it requires you to fill in a silly questionnaire and in doing so installed all these programs, to my knowledge I think I uninstalled all of them, also when I run a virus check it's not picking up anything!? Is it a program that I must of missed or is it a virus hiding in one of my files? lol sorry I don't know much about computers, but please someone help me!!

If your computer began to operate slowly after completing that questionnaire, it will most likely be by that software which was installed. These are often virus/spyware/malware infected, and I would perform a scan of your entire system using your protection software.

Firstly however, I would recommend you download a free software called Malwarebytes. It's a great software for free, and performs a deep scan of your entire system. I use this software alongside my anti-virus. Please download the free version of that software, and run a "Full system scan," removing anything which it finds harmful after completing the entire scan (it can take around 40 minutes to even up to 2 hours+ depending on how much content you have on your...

Once that is complete, I would recommend you upgrade your current anti-virus to perhaps Internet Security (which also includes anti-virus.) Internet Security software protects you from anti-virus and spyware, just like any other anti-virus software, but the difference is that it can protect you whilst you browse the Internet. Internet Security will determine which web sites are safe, and which are not, alongside which are fake web sites trying to get your details (i.e. your individual profile, or passwords to banking etc.)

At the moment I use Norton Internet Security, but BitDefender is also great (I used to have the latter, but uninstalled due to requiring higher system specifications.) Please reply back with the current Anti-Virus software you have, and if you like I can hook you up with Norton Internet Security for free, I have a license I am not using.

All the best.
