I spent a couple hours last night tampering with my windforce gtx 770 in evga precision x and brought my heaven benchmark from 975 to 1015. I removed the overlcock, and this morning the stock settings only get a 935! What could be the issue here? I didn't change any voltages, and the temp stayed below 70 the entire time. I should also mention that it did crash one or twice when I went too far with the core clock. Thanks for any input!

Solution
he's saying benchmark results can vary and 40 points isn't worth worrying about.

its possible it had a factory overclock and you set it below that when you took the overclock off. also possible its warmer today and not boosting as high

I see, but I am now constantly getting around 935; are you saying the benchmarking application is the source of error here?

It did have a factory overclock, but I set it to "default" in evga, and gpu z claims it's at default. I updated my bios last night, could this have an impact?
