Seems a bit high to me. I'm not overclocking and am using the stock heatsink.

Do I have a problem?

This is the idle temperature, the max CPUID HWMonitor is showing it reached is 51 C.

Solution
Put the CM Hyper 212 EVO on, and your temps will go way down, despite having 1 less side panel fan. My temps on the 212+ are 24-27 idle, and about 40 idle on a 3.8GHz overclock.

I have a 212 Evo in the box, but was told it isn't necessary unless I'm OC'ing.

I would have put it on regardless but it would mean i had to remove the side panel fan on my case (rosewill blackhawk).

Do you agree that I don't necessarily need it, and if you think I do need it, am I losing too much case cooling by removing that side panel fan?

Sorry for the question spam...my first build and I'm being protective!

You have a Blackhawk as well you're saying?

Edit: never mind read your signature. Thanks anyway!

If you are not interested in OCing and don't mind the noisy stock fan, there is no need to install the 212 EVO.

But its better to have it. As long as you have other fans in your case, you should be fine removing 1.
