Hey guys. My I5 3570k is constantly running at 105c (out of nowhere) and is therefore destroying my fps in all my games.

I am getting a I7 4770k for gaming and was wondering what mobo would be best for that CPU. I have been looking at "Gigabyte G1. Sniper" but I am unsure about it and wanted to ask you guys before I make any decisions.

Max I am willing to pay for a motherboard is 250$.

My rig:

- CM storm trooper big gaming
- Msi z77 MPower
- Intel I5 3570k
- Gigabyte 780 ti GHz
- Corsair Dominator 16gb 1866mhz

Hi,
The i7 is not mandatory for gaming, the i5 will do the same job just fine at the cost of $100 less than the i7
Anyway the G1 Sniper is good Motherboard. Also the Asrock Z87 Extreme 4, Gigabyte Z87X UD3H, and Asus Z87-A are good motherboard, both for i5 4670k and i7 4770k

Thanks for the reply. I know the i5 will work nicely but I might be able to squeeze a couple of extra fps out from the I7 ^^. in my opinion that is worth the extra cash.

Out of the motherboards you mentioned. which one do you think will be the "best" ( both for OC and normal usage)?
