I read through many information on this board.
I bought my SSD and knew that my board only has IDE and RAID as an options.
I did a clean install of windows 8.1 Pro 64bit under RAID.
Everything is working so far with only the SSD connected.
I am now trying to add my 1tb HDD into the mix.
As many here, the plan was to have the OS on the Evo SSD and use the 1tb as my storage.
when I plug in my HDD, I get error on Port 0 Reset port. The boot time is increased significantly with both drives connected. Once the Machine does let me log in In. I check under disk management and the 1tb is not listed. I check under BIOS and the 1tb is not listed.
If I switch to IDE then I can see all the drives the SSD and the 1tb, However this cause an error.
I guess this error is caused by my installing windows 8.1 under RAID not IDE.
I have searched everywhere but cannot find any help.
Can I have my SSD OS only and the 1tb as storage?
