Hey,
A army buddy of mine help me build a PC in 2011 that was just for multipurpose and now I'm looking to slowly upgrade it over the next year or two to a more gaming rig especially after I graduate college next spring. For now the budget is 150 to 250 max.
Here the setup now:
I5-760 2.8GHz http://

ASUS P7P55D-E motherboard http://

GT 430 GPU - http://

8GB Ram
400 Watt PSU

I know my PSU is low so was thinking of getting GTX750 TI to bridge the gap but Im open to any suggests on what you more knowledgeable folks think should go first.
Thanks in advance
Andrew

Have you thought about having the R7 265 as your GPU? Should be pretty much same price, considerably better performance. Only thing is the power consumption of the r7 265 is a tad higher. I think a quality 400W PSU would be sufficient. If you're not confident that your PSU is a constant 400W load then you should look to upgrading your PSU if you want to go for the Radeon. I'd would look to upgrade the PSU anyway, if not now then later fo'sure, 400W is pretty low for a gaming rig.

Getting the Radeon and new PSU will fit in your $250 budget, GTX 750 TI will work well too but you'll get about 15-20% more performance from the Radeon.

One more thing if you wanna go CF config during your upgrading over the next year or so go the r7 265.
