I recently bought this new screen it's 144hz. Prior to using this I was using my panasonic Plasma TV via HDMI cable. When I plugged in the Dual DVI cable to use the monitor everything worked EXCEPT for when I try and launch Skype my screen looks like this http://imgur.com/6XjKC8n (took picture with my cell phone).

I can't exit the screen and when I Control/Alt + Delete the screen goes blank and I have to restart the computer.

I did online tech support with Skype: they remote logged into my system and when I launched Skype it worked fine, but there was a minor screen flicker. I also uninstalled and reinstalled Skype. Once done with the IT help it continued to do it.

I talked to asus and hooked an HDMI from my tower to the monitor and it worked fine as well at 60 hz.

It's odd because this only occurs with Skype: I can launch google, origin, battlenet, play games, etc. But when I launch skype the screen goes nuts.

Any thoughts? Thanks.

Try lowering the refresh rate to 120Hz. Some video programs just can't seem to handle 144Hz. I have the same issue with amazon videos on my 144Hz Asus.

My friend has the same monitor at 144 hz and has no issues running skype. He has a nvidia card. We play BF4 at 144 hz and use skype to talk

I have got the same card (XFX Radeon R9 280X Black Edition) and a 144Hz Monitor (AOC G2460P) and I'm having the same issue launching skype, if you have found a solution, please post it here
