I recently purchased my parts for an upgrade of my cpu. I am going from an Fx 8350 to an FX9590.
I Know I will be in Heat city Now. I have a recommended Power Supply and Motherboard. I have not purchased another cou cooler. I have one That I believe my do the Trick. But maybe not. I do not need recommendations a to which cooler I should by. I want know what you may have used yourself successfully. This is in regard to High end coolers. I do some gamming. But not for long periods of time. I already know that Liquid cooling is Recommended i.e. a 240mm Dual Fan cooler. You experiences even if they were not that successful wil be appreciated. I am not going to overclock That why I bought the 9590. Also I Have a Coolermaster Haf 912 case, 140cfm max of air from the front intake and 330 cfm max exhaust from the back and top. It has an open side to draw the difference.

Thanks for your answer to the first post but I want answers to my question from those who have real experience. I do not want plain opinion. Also I googled first be fore posting my question But links to a review that I missed of someone who has success or experience in cooling the FX 9590 with a high end air cooler will be appreciated. Thank You. Also I bought this for the overclock and that is all I need to know about what experience to expect. I already know that intel is better but the Intel Rhetoric is not what I need. Please answer the question if you are able please. From your experience.

So I went ahead and dropped my my cpu air cooler. It is a Swiftec Polaris 120 . It deems to be doing the the job. My idle temps are down to 24 degrees centigrade. I was Gamming at 51 Degrees centigrade. I am running a Scythe Glide stream 120mm x 25mm 110 cfm Fan at full boar. I am going to see how much I can back it off if any. Iam sure some other high end fans can do this quitter. The sound is not to bad. But tjis machine is for gamming only. But I can see why liquid cooling is reccomened. P.S. the fx 9590 is better than an overclocked fx 8350 because the overclock is done right. It idles @ 1400
Ghz. So the power saving is there . I believe you do not get that with a manual overclock. That is why I got it. Also I only paid $200.00 for mine with a receipt. Got a deal. But when I can afford a new Full tower and At least a Corsair H100i I may give that a try but not with the stock fans. Still interested in feed back.

I Just installed a Thermaltake Frio Extreme in place of my Swiftec Polaris 120. The results are Good. I am able to game
@ 48 Degrees celsius and that is right off the bat. That temp is probably going to drop a degree or to. So an FX9590 can be effectively cooled by air. I read all the reviews on this cooler. They show it slightly better than the best noctua and
phanteks had to offer. But the noctua is quieter. I do not need quiet in a gaming machine. I need all the cooling and air flow I can get. And the FX 9590 Does provide serious performance boost than my FX8350. There is no way you can beat a factory overclock. The overclock it has is the one I wanted.
