I have both a GTX 650 and a GTX 770 graphics card and I've already tried installing both seperately (obviously). I have an AMD A8-5500 with integrated graphics on a MSI MS-7778 motherboard and i'm pretty sure I've tried everything I know to get them to work. When i install either card and power up, it just hangs on the "starting windows" screen indefinitely. I've upgraded the power supply to a corsair cx750m 750 watt power supply, connected the power to the card(s), fiddled with BIOS settings, disabled/uninstalled integrated graphics drivers, (even though it should disable them automatically when the card is installed) made sure the dvi cable was plugged in to the card, and a host of other possible solutions. Yet, i still get the windows 7 "starting windows" screen that hangs endlessly. Please help.

That motherboard is about the cheapest thing there is. Toss it in the ewaste if you can and treat yourself to something decent.

But if you must keep it and all else fails. Backup your files and start fresh. Upon reboot, enter the bios, format and reinstall Windows from scratch. It may be the only way to get that board to work(yes, it should auto disable integrated graphics when a discrete GPU is installed).
