need to unlock bios f.46

i got hp dv6 1354us and got bios f.46 which is latest form hp support web but how i unlock advanced options in bios to set cpu clocking . and also tried running memtest and windows memory diag tool both gets stuck at some stage so that means got memory problem? i did that test because my laptop freezes randomly and mostly when watching video i have updated my video drivers to latest but i rolled it back because i assumed i got this problem of freezes and BOSD after that. Also ran Malware and nothing came up . laptop details are
2.2 GHz Intel Core2 Duo T6600 Processor (2 MB L2 Cache, 800 MHz FSB)

Normally you can't. OEMs like HP, Dell, etc have locked bios's which can't be unlocked. You mentioned "cpu clocking" and laptop so if you want to OC it thats another bad idea. Cooling on laptops isn't the greatest, and OCing something that runs that hot is a bad idea. If memtest fails then yes, you have a memory issue.

hi thanks for you reply .. memtest didnt fail it just got stuck and nothing happens only option for me is to power reset laptop. and i did read somewhere about changing some setting in bios and memtest runs through. also by having advanced setting in bios i want to reduce clock speed. i try finiding bios on bios mod but couldnt. well thanks for you reply
