Just bought and put together the following:

Gigabyte F2A78M-HD2 motherboard
AMD A10 5800K processor
(using integrated graphics)
Hyper 212 plus (as i've heard the stock cooler sucks for this processor)
2 sticks of 4g hyper x at 1600
1 Terrabyte 7200rpm hard drive
550W power supply
Cheap but functional mid-tower case

So i was looking for a cheap low-mid range machine so that a friend could play some older MMORPGS with me, and as I have never done anything with AMD before (I've built several Intel rigs) I thought i'd give this build a try. I got everything put together and the machine failed to even give me a display, and unfortunately, i don't see a spot on this cheap motherboard for a
cpu speaker, there are no beeps to let me know why its not posting. The fans are all spinning and the hard drive light comes on, but no picture on the monitor. I've tried pulling out my 7870 from my main computer to see if just the integrated graphics was fried, but no luck. It's also worth mentioning that after about only 10 seconds, the cpu cooler gets pretty dang warm to the touch.

At this point, im not sure if its a bad cpu or what, but I don't see a way to tell, and I am just considering returning everything from where I got it and starting from scratch.

What should I do?

UPDATE: after completely reassembling everything, i finally got it to post, but the odd thing is, it only posted after removing the usb peripherals from the computer. I was able to install windows, but had to remove my usb keyboard and plug it back on after post. I had to repeat this step each time i rebooted. Eventually, that method stopped working. Could it be a bad chasis/case wiring? Im so confused..

I never got the "post beep" but everything worked as intended. I read online that some more affordable mobos do not have a speaker connector. I did not have a video card but everything booted up properly.
