Hello,

I need a good CPU for R9 280x GPU, RAM will be 8GB.

CPU can either of AMD or CPU, I don't care unless it works best. I need good fps in new demanding games.

Budget: 150 $ - 265 $

Less costly CPU suggestion would be much appreciated. Please don't provide un-necessary expensive CPU suggestions. Thanks to any of your suggestions too. (:

if that is your budget for just the cpu, get the i5 4670k, or i5 4670, depends on if you want to OC. or, for a little cheaper, get the fx 8320 and hyper 212 evo cooler :p

Until just a few days ago I'd say to go with intel i5 4670k. After Ubisoft posted up requirements to run Watch Dogs (which is coming may 27th), I'd say got with i7 4770k and a good watercooler (corsair h100i, h110i) to make it run faster. It may be to just hype the game more than it already is for the gaming community, but nevertheless it's there. Since you ask for "NEW" demanding games, there you are. Just remember, some games benefit more from cpu than others, so you may have increased fps only in those kind of games, since what really makes THE difference is the gpu, so long it doesn't get bottlenecked from cpu.

that would be way out of his budget, the i7 4770k is over $300 alone, and if you want an i5 4670 with hyperthreading get the Xeon E3-1230 v3, about its only a little more than the i5 4670k but without an unlocked multiplier, but it has hyperthreading. http://pcpartpicker.com/part/intel-cpu-bx80646e31230v3

Uhmm so should I go with i5 4670K? :$ That's the maximum I can afford.
And should I get AMD Kaveri A10 APU? State your reason please.

750 watt is plenty, 650 watt is fine too. dont get an A-X apu, they are not good for gaming. the i5 4670(K) is very good, will handle any game you can come up with.

Then Asus B85M-G Motherboard is going to be good enough for 280x and 4670k ?
