Hello, heard of LOTS OF PEOPLE that the h81 does not support dual channel, but in every mobo page there is:

"2 x DIMM, Max. 16GB, DDR3 1600/1333/1066 MHz Non-ECC, Un-buffered Memory
Dual Channel Memory Architecture
Supports Intel® Extreme Memory Profile (XMP)
* Hyper DIMM support is subject to the physical characteristics of individual CPUs.
* Refer to www.asus.com for the Memory QVL (Qualified Vendors Lists).
* Due to Intel® chipset limitation, DDR3 1600 MHz and higher memory modules on XMP mode will run at the maximum transfer rate of DDR3 1600 Mhz."

or

"2 x 1.5V DDR3 DIMM sockets supporting up to 16 GB of system memory
* Due to a Windows 32-bit operating system limitation, when more than 4 GB of physical memory is installed, the actual memory size displayed will be less than the size of the physical memory installed.
Dual channel memory architecture
Support for DDR3 1600/1333 MHz memory modules
Support for non-ECC memory modules
Support for Extreme Memory Profile (XMP) memory modules"

So, does it support or what?

Cheers.

Solution
H81 has dual channel, however, what's different is that it has support for only 1 DIMM per channel, so, what you get is 2 channels but 1 DIMM per channel, so, 2 memory slots in all and hence 16GB max limit. Z87/H87 also have dual channel but they support 2 DIMMs per channel so 4 memory slots in all and hence support for 32 GB. Hope it helps.
