Hello,
I will be building a PC in the next few weeks, and I am trying to decide between two GPUs: nvidia's gtx 750ti and a radeon r7 265. I am not planning to upgrade for the at least the next 4-5 years. Does the lack of Mantle and True audio support for the r7 265 make it less future proof than the gtx 750ti or does the slightly better performance of the r7 outweigh the "future proof ness" of the gtx?
Thanks in advance!
EDIT:I am in India, where the r7 265 is slightly more expensive than the gtx 750 ti. I want to try to fit the GPU under rs15000( for reference, a r9 270x costs nearly 20000, a 50% price inflation). The 750ti costs 12500 and rge r7 265 is 14000. So which one would be better? Still the r7?

Solution
try to bump more and get a 760 maybe.
But if you cant just go for R7 265. its great however 750Ti doesnt lack any far behind.
My personal preference is a AMD Card when it comes to budget cards for entry level gaming.
Especially at your requirements AMD would do better.

Hi i am also from India.
I recently got new PC with a 650TI Boost for 13.5k and is much satisfactory for med level gaming.
Though 750TI is like 10-15% slower than it but still it have one benifit of power saving and doesnt require any PCI-E adapter aswell. So it is actually worth for lower price.

But 265 vs 750Ti i would say now 750Ti due to much price difference.
or for 15000 Budget get a GTX 660 instead? But then again i chose 650Ti boost instead of 660 due to price difference and not much performance difference.

This will be my first PC, so could you please explain what the PCI-E adapter is? And also the prices of the 650ti boost and the 660 are almost the same on flipkart. So then the 660 would be a better choice than the 750ti or the r7?
