so i just bought an asus m5 a97 r2.0 and am using a 4130 with it.

now i've had it for a couple days, stable oc'd to 4.3ghz on the cpu and was flawless.

but starting last night the usb's randomly go out. my keyboard/usb card go out, when i reset the pc no problems and then randomly go out and come back up again. im running windows 8.1 and this is very new, old mobo never had this issue with these devices. my mouse/front port USB's are working fine though.

i've replugged them into different ports for now and seem to be working but who knows may happen again. any suggestions?

i've updated the BIOS to the latest version, and reformatted the hard drive and it happened again so im at a loss for what it is unless its the board itself.

edit; just attempted to plug my flash drive into all the usb's in the back. none of them work now except the two usb 3.0s. if i restarted my pc i know they would start working but now i have to plug my mouse/keyboard into the usb 3.0s to get them to work.i think the boards faulty. also just started plugging my flash drive into them again and now one of the 6 usb 2.0s are working. yea..

edit:just went into device manager and my usb controllers had the yellow "?" next to them. uninstalled and restarted and now working. see what happens. also they work fine in the BIOS so it pheraps could be a windows 8.1 issue.
