I'm on windows xp, basically my desktop is full with a bunch of items and icon, there was like 2 icon space left but i made a grave mistake. The mistake was accidentally running this program called "shadow copy" which copied all items in "my documents" out to my desktop. So basically my desktop space got overloaded and the copied items spilled over to the another desktop space on the right side. However, i can't view that second desktop because i do not have another monitor or TV to extend that desktop space. So how do i delete the files copied?

Another method might be through Windows Explorer.

Open Windows Explorer
Navigate to the Desktop
Create a new folder in the Desktop
Move all the other files and icons into that folder
Now go back out to the Desktop
You should have but 1 item, the folder you just created.
Open it, and you can see ALL the files and icons from the Desktop
You can then move them back to the Desktop, or delete as necessary.
First try moving mouse pointer to extreme right side of screen to see if it pans across to show hidden icons.
You could also try increasing display resolution which makes icons smaller so more of them fit on the screen.

If it doesn't, move some icons you can see in to Recycle Bin. As you do that, icons which extend beyond the screen should move in to the now vacant screen area.

When you've deleted unwanted icons, restore the others from Recycle Bin.
